Former MP recalls disabled rights pioneer Dr Margaret Blackwood

A couple of weeks ago we shared with you a short film that we'd made about the founder of Blackwood, Dr Margaret Blackwood.

Whilst making the film we were very lucky to get to interview Gavin Strang, one of the longest serving MPs ever and a former Cabinet Minister to boot. Back in the late 60s and early 70s, Mr Strang was heavily involved with the campaign for disabled rights and was a good friend of Dr Blackwood, who at the time was one of the leaders of the campaign in Scotland.

We are pleased today to be able to share with you some of the highlights from the interview with Mr Strang.
