TGA supporting the QEF charity’s Tryb4uFly service for airline passengers with disabilities at the 2017 Mobility Roadshow

TGA, the UK’s leading mobility scooter specialist, will be supporting the QEF charity’s Tryb4uFly service for airline passengers with disabilities at the 2017 Mobility Roadshow(Stand C21 and B6. 1-3 June, NAEC, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire).

Tryb4uFly is debuting at the event this year and provides an advice service for disabled air travellers. This service is managed by the charity Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF), and expert representatives will be on hand to provide information about air travel for people with disabilities and their families, and offer practical advice and demonstrations. The event will also provide more information about the cabin assessments that are available at three locations around the UK - QEF Mobility Services based in Carshalton, the Regional Driving Assessment Centre in Birmingham and the William Merritt Disabled Living Centreand Mobility Service, Leeds. Each centre has access to a replica section of aircraft fuselage so travellers can trial and compare accessibility and assistive solutions in a realistic environment.

In conjunction with this, TGA will be showcasing their award-winning range of mobility scooters, wheelchair and powerpacks, which continue to provide assured independence for people across the UK living with restricted mobility. The folding range of TGA Minimo scooters provide maximum transportability as they are compact, lightweight and easy to store. They can be folded single-handedly in seconds and do not require any parts to be dismantled for storage – hence providing hassle-free independence when travelling by car, bus, train or plane. On arrival owners can benefit from use of their own familiar scooter without any compromise to independence. This is why the MinimoMinimo Plus and new Minimo Plus 4 continue to grow in popularity and are ideal for air travel – as will be demonstrated by Tryb4uFly at The Mobility Roadshow. Read more....
