88 year old lady seeks advice on mobility scooters

The following is entirely her own words:
"Good afternoon, I am seeking advice on electric mobility scooters. I am looking for a lightweight scooter that would dismantled fit into the back of a Peugeot 107 Urban car. I am 88 and have arthritis in my hands, arms, back and hips. I have had both knees replaced and cannot kneel down. I need something that I would be able to dismantle myself and lift into the car. Have you any suggestions or advice you can offer please.

Hi, I have been using scooters for 7 years now, all of the smaller ones dismantle into 5 parts the heaviest being the battery pack. The battery pack itself usually weighs around 15 kilos which is quite a weight for a lady your age to lift, my own mum is 84 and sh is reasonably fit and cannot lift this for me. I resolved the problem of lifting by installing a hoist in the back of my car so now more lifting (and breaking ribs in doing so) for me. The prorider freedom scooter is quite small and the lightest that I have used, Betterlife healthcare also known as lloyds pharmacy do reasonable price ones to that fold and are quite lightweight, feel free to ask anymore questions and I will help if I can, good luck to you and well done for trying to keep your independence
