As an ambulatory disabled person, I have be following the Bespoken house with interest. I noted the comments on the height of hobs and shelves. Another reason for them not protruding at the front of work tops is that ambulatory disabled people could catch their legs on them, especially if blind or partially sighted.

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for the comment. I take it you're referring to the handles when you talk about "protruding at the front..."? A good point to make.

All these comments are being passed on to Blackwood's Innovation team as well as the Project Manager overseeing the design and construction of the Blackwood House.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Jamie,

Would a push opening system be a good option do you think? Something like this....
