The Diversity Network in collaboration with Edinburgh College of Art and All Walks Beyond the Catwalk has launched a week of talks, exhibits and events at the National Museum of Scotland.

Aimed primarily at designers, fashion students and fashionistas, ‘Design for Diversity’ was created to promote a healthier, and more inclusive culture within the fashion industry.

Tomorrow will see a full day of events, from a morning workshop with Edinburgh-based artist Joan Smith, to ‘Fashion in the Dark’, a workshop designed to include the visually impaired, exploring “alternative sensory approaches to design and fashion writing.”

Events this week have included an interview with top London based designers and diversity champions Teatum Jones, Rwandan design brand Haute Baso and the British Council.
