The Friends of the Pentlands have run this event especially for people with disabilities for a number of years and are hoping to expand its coverage to a wider number of people once again and to introduce people to a different part of the Pentlands.
WHERE:
- Based around Threipmuir Reservoir, Balerno
- Large car park
- Accessible toilet on site

- Fully accessible paths, boardwalks and bird hide to explore with or without a guide
WHEN:
- Thursday 29th and Friday 30th May 2014
- Morning sessions 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
- Afternoon sessions 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm
WHAT:
- Enjoy views of the Pentlands from a range of fully accessible paths
- Free lunch including hot drinks from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm – if booked in advance
- Lunch will again be served at the Ogston Halls in Balerno
(part of Balerno Parish Church’s St Joseph’s Centre, 2 Main Street, Balerno, EH14 7EH
- Free transport from Threipmuir to Balerno and return
- Places for you and one other friend, relative or carer
- Free transport from pickup points in Edinburgh can be provided
- Free mobility scooters available for use at Threipmuir
