Having a physical disability and/or chronic illness can sometimes make it very difficult for artists to run their own business and website. Crafted Elegance provides a service to those artists who want to sell their arts and crafts. Crafted Elegance was formed in November 2010 and the website was launched in March 2011.

By providing this service, Crafted Elegance gives a chance for the artists to spend more time with their families and concentrate on creating their products. They are able to go to their doctors appointments, to receive their on-going treatments and have plenty of time to take care of themselves.

We have a variety of arts and crafts for sale including; quilts, jewellery, rosaries, dolls, baby items, plastic canvas, stone inlays, graphic art, photography, and clothing. We have some extremely talented individuals selling on our site.  Learlean Rockingham, who is a master seamstress, Kelly Cuba who creates one-of-a kind pieces of jewellery and rosaries, Nathan Tanner, who loves photography, David Fox, whose talent and love lies in graphic arts, Deborah Pulk who is also a master seamstress, Victoria Graves, who is a certified Dinky Doll maker, Jennifer R. Ewing who creates plastic canvas and loves to crochet and Tina Sanchez whose talents lie in sewing, stone inlayed pieces, jewellery and rosary design and more.

The owner of the website, Dianalynn Varin, makes Victorian/antique jewellery in addition to decorative glycerine soap and bath salts.  The artists are spread out through the United States (Mississippi, New Hampshire, Vermont, Texas, New Mexico, Michigan and California) and Crafted Elegance is always looking for more artists to join in their community.

How to start your business with Crafted Elegance

  • Crafted Elegance advertise and market high quality arts and crafts therefore, we require every artist to send one sample item from each category they would like to list with the website for sale to confirm the materials and craftsmanship that goes into their products and the samples are always sent back to them.

  • The inventory is not kept so each artist is notified when their items are ordered and we send them the shipping label via email for them to print and tape on their packages and they drop them off to be shipped.

  • Many of our artists accept customer orders. We can always be contacted to ask about specific needs or desires for their products. Some of our artists have also collaborated on projects together to produce a product which reflects their individual specialty and talent.

Benefits of working with Crafted Elegance Family

  • Crafted Elegance is more than just a vehicle for our artists to showcase their talents and sell their products, we support each other with our individual struggles and hurdles we face each and every day.  We share many of the same struggles and it helps to be able to talk to others who have a true understanding of these challenges.
  • We have both an artist blog and a main blog. We also have a resources page where we have posted links for anyone to find free patterns for many things ranging from crocheting to fun family websites where you can go with your kids to make some really neat arts and crafts projects.
  • We have a forum for both the general public and our artists.  Anyone can sign onto our forum and post their favourite videos, share articles or their stories and opinions.  Our artist forum is more private and can only be accessed by those who sell on the site, meaning the artists are able to leave posts they only want to share with the other artists.  The website is now to be upgraded to allow for real-time chat with each other.

I found Crafted Elegance back in September 2011 and I'm so glad that I did.  The closeness of the artists, whether you know each other in person or not, is unbelievable.  We are all suffering from one or more disabilities, some very different from each other, but we know what each of us goes through on a daily basis.  The owner of the website, Dianalynn Varin, has made me feel like I can do anything and has made me comfortable with selling on this site.  She is always available if I have any questions  no matter day or night.
