Hi, i would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

My name is Dimitrios and i am a final year design student at Brunel University. 

For my major project i will be working in collaboration with the Blackwood Foundation

and hopefully your help.

I am exploring the theme of communications / connectivity for people aged 55+.

There are several issues regarding social isolation, current communication devices

and misrepresentation of user needs.

Three broad categories for improvement are:

a) Improving the use of a communication devices.

b) Improving social relations with family, friends, younger generations and communities.

c) Integrating functions to improve the daily life of users.

Each of them can be expanded into several questions that could potentially spring a design direction.

Currently i am trying to form these questions and understand the different communication patterns and needs of older people.

I would really appreciate your insights, thoughts and experiences on this topic.
