At Naidex we met Geoff Harbach, founder of LEPMIS Game Access Solutions, which produces specialized gaming controllers for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The company offers a variety of devices to meet individual needs, reflecting its mission to “amplify the inherent capabilities of a person who is less able, by the application of appropriate technologies”.

The ORTHOS One handed game controller offers the complete functionality of a regular two handed PS3 controller, including use of both analogue sticks. It can be made to work like a standard joystick (by rotating the stick forwards, backwards or to the sides) or by pushing it horizontally across a surface. You can also use the ORTHOS in conjunction with LEPMIS’s other controllers, such as foot switches.

Other products include the Low Throw Low Force Analogue Joystick provides an extra-sensitive alternative to standard analogue sticks that requires less force and movement to operate. They also offer a tilt sensor that operates the analogue sticks, allowing character or camera movement to be controlled by tilting the head or any moveable object.

Other products include a variety of analogue joystick knobs in different shapes to suit individual hand postures, and customized PS3 controllers that can be used with other LEPMIS controllers.
