NHS release series of short videos for people with hearing impairment

Courtesy of NHS Lothian, these 5 short videos will tell you all you need to know about maintaining your hearing aid for optimum functionality. The videos all have subtitles and address a range of important steps you need to take to ensure your hearing aid is in fit working order. These include:

1)      Changing hearing aid tubing. Click here to watch the video.

2)      How to troubleshoot your hearing if you’re experiencing difficulties with it. Click here to watch the video.

3)      The simple yet essential; how to change the battery in your hearing aid (and recycle the old battery). Click here to watch the video.

4)      How to clean your hearing aid. Wax and muck can sometimes build up and impair the functionality of the hearing aid. A thorough clean every now and then can make a big difference. Click here to watch the video.

5)      How to turn your hearing aid off and on. Again, simple and to the point but undeniably important. Click here to watch the video.
