Idea 1 : A gadget is needed that can be added to a standard airline seat . My Hubby really misses his leg rests when we travel on a plane. Someone needs to invent a gadget for this. He is partially tetraplegic and his leg rests help to keep him positioned correctly in his seat. sitting in a "normal" seat is very painful and difficult. It is a shame that airline do not allow people to be secured in their own wheelchair on board which would also solve the problem.

Idea 2 : Finding accessible accommodation is a nightmare especially if you need a wet room. My idea is to have a foldable water proof sheet with a plug hole connected to a hose to get rid of the water, in the shape of a collapsable box, which you position on a bed, slide the disabled person onto like a sliding sheet, erect the lowish sides by either an air system like kiddies paddling pool or by inserting rods. Wash the person inside, empty the water out , dry them, take out the sides , log roll them off it , fold up to use again.

Idea 3 : Swimming pool owners sometimes provide hoists most of time do not I think because of the cost. You can also buy very expensive and space consuming ramps. Not all wheelchair users can safely use a hoist because of spasms. My idea is to have a piece of equipment like a telescopic ramp, the wheelchair is first placed at the waters edge at a safe depth and little distance away from the edge to allow the top piece of the equipment to be placed up to the wheelchair under the persons legs, it would have foot rest block built on to it to secure the persons legs. Their carer would then get into the water and activate the ramp mechanism, sliding the person gently down the expanding ramp and into the water. Reversing the operation for getting out.
