See world record-holding Red Wheelies in action at the 30th Mobility Roadshow

Sponsored by Quingo Scooters the Red Wheelies scooter formation display team will be performing each day of the Mobility Roadshow.

The Red Wheelies are a group of ladies, all with Multiple Sclerosis who like to have fun on their mobility scooters to show that there is life with MS, thus raising awareness of the illness in a positive light.

Their philosophy is that they might have to accept the odd limitation, but they are certainly not going to give up. They are determined to prove that MS does not mean Must Stop.

This was proven when they gained – and still hold – the Guinness World Record for ‘the greatest distance covered in 24hrs by motorised wheelchair or mobility scooter’. This was achieved by Red Whellie Jackie Weedon in association with the Red Wheelies and Quingo at Fowlmead Country Park, Kent on 15 May 2011. Although three Red Wheelies participated, Jackie was put forward for the Guinness World Records title. She achieved 154 miles in 13 hours 50 minutes on her Quingo scooter.

You may not know that HRH The Duchess of Cornwall in an Honorary Red Wheelie.

The Red Wheelies have delighted Roadshow visitors in recent years. Don’t miss this chance to see them in action – detailed programme times will be published here closer to the Roadshow.
