TGA Mobility To Launch New ‘Strongback’ Wheelchair At Naidex 2016

TGA, a leading specialist in quality mobility scooters and wheelchairs, will unveil its new Swiss-designed ‘StrongBack’ wheelchair at Naidex 2016 (NEC, 27-28th April (general public days), stand B29 & D9).

The pioneering inventor of the TGA ‘StrongBack’ wheelchair, Dr. Christian Grothe, will be available for product presentations on day 2 of Naidex (27th April) – 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Stand D9.

For 30 years TGA has been renowned for continually launching new products including innovative mobility scooterswheelchairs and wheelchair powerpacks. This proven heritage will be once more reiterated at Naidex 2016 by the introduction of its new Strong
Back wheelchair.

Developed in Switzerland, this attendant-controlled foldable wheelchair incorporates a fully adjustable backrest based on the award-winning ‘StrongBack’ seating concept. This adaptable backrest is a unique ergonomic shape that moulds around the occupant to provide greater comfort and relief from back pain. This is enhanced by integrated postural suppor
inbuilt into the wheelchair frame.

The StrongBack provides a solution for users who struggle to achieve correct posture and are prone to pressure and circulation related issues. It has attendant brakes as standard and easy-glide, maintenance free front and rear solid tyres so pushing is less strenuous. If carers prefer to reduce strain or muscle stress, then the StrongBack is totally compatible with the TGA range of four Wheelchair Powerpacks. A Powerpack consists of a motor unit, drive wheel and battery pack that can be operated by the carer and attaches to the underside of the wheelchair utilising the welded location pins. Whichever TGA Powerpack is preferred, from the single wheel Solo to the bariatric ‘PLUS’, it will provide powered propulsion so a carer can steer the wheelchair with significantly reduced pushing. Read more……
