This alarm clock for people who are deaf or hard of hearing is unlikely to fail unless you are an exceptionally heavy sleeper.

Helpfully dubbed the 'Sonic Bomb alarm clock', personally I think I'd have to check my pulse if I was woken by this every morning, but then I don't have any hearing difficulties.

It comes with a pad that sits under your mattress and vibrates heavily when it's time to wake up. On top of this, it makes a noise like a fog horn which, in all seriousness, would put me off giving it to someone with a weak heart.
