The MIT Technology review reports an interesting innovation aimed at those who can't use physical devices (eg; keyboard & mouse) to control a computer. Samsung is developing a new type of "dry" EEG skull-cap that allows computers to be controlled by thought alone.

The innovation comes from the less intrusive design of the cap. Until now, an EEG cap had to be tightly fitted and obtrusively fitted to the skull in order to pick up the minute electrical signals with sufficient clarity. Samsung has been working on ways to separate the "wanted" signals from  the noise that otherwise predominates as the quality of connection diminishes. The company hopes to develop a design that can be worn all day long.
