Good to see someone putting some original thought into wheelchair design - see http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/15/robotic-wheelchair-concept for a most interesting concept. Now if only they could get it to climb stairs, travel 25 miles at 8MPH and take a tilt/recline seat I'd wannawun :)

I recently visted ****** Falls Hotel in the Lake District for an organised lunch ... anyone who saw me gaining access to the building via the 12 foot long channel ramps the hotel provided - supplying a 45 degree vertical climb/descent - would immediately understand the gulf between "wheelchair accessible" and the general population's understanding of accessibility.
