Hi everyone,

I thought I’d share this on our network. A senior member of the Bath based charity Designability got in touch with me this week to tell us about this impressive wheelchair baby stroller!

Not the first one we’ve featured on bespoken but contrary to the last one we posted, this one is not a concept. It is built, ready, working and available. The website for Designability explains that they are designers and engineers who ‘[…] work with end-users, carers and health professionals to help us understand the problem, find a solution and test it in real life situations’. So the stroller works as an attachment that simply fixes itself easily to most manual wheelchairs presumably unless they happen to be a little different like Carbon Black or something.

So given that it has twice come up on bespoken and Designability have developed it, there must be a real demand for these from parents who are wheelchair users. Is it just me or is it weird that this issue hasn’t been addressed more commercially yet? Surely there is a large international market for such adaptations. And they don’t exactly look like they’d be super expensive or complicated to mass produce. For more details on this stroller cllick here.
